Malware targeting Android users, distributed via APK files, has been detected

Researchers from Zimperium have identified a new Android malware variant named Mantax Otax, which is distributed through APK files. The malicious software is designed to target Android device users by combining multiple functions into a single tool.

The newly detected malware integrates capabilities for information theft, remote access Trojan (RAT) operations, a backdoor, and a ransomware-style encryption program.
