Police deployment due to the possible presence of a barricaded man in Pamplona turns out to be a false alarm

On Tuesday, the Policía Foral in Pamplona initiated a security operation in the Casco Viejo district following reports of a potential armed man barricaded in a residence. Authorities deployed to the Calle Mercaderes area to locate a suspect involved in a gender-based violence case. The operation concluded after police determined that the residence was empty and the individual was not present.

Separately, law enforcement authorities, including the Policía Foral, the Villava Municipal Police, and fire rescue services, successfully apprehended a suspect in the early hours of the morning. This individual is accused of a stabbing incident that occurred on Monday at the former Jaso Ikastola in Pamplona.
