German authorities arrested a man on Wednesday in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district, north of Frankfurt, on suspicion of belonging to a terrorist organization.

According to the authorities, the suspect is accused of having fought in the ranks of the Islamic State in Iraq between 2016 and 2017.
