State and federal authorities in Mexico deployed simultaneous operations in the municipalities of Angamacutiro and Puruándiro, Michoacán, resulting in the detention of 18 individuals.

The arrests followed the capture of Manuel Alejan, known as "El Señor de la T" and identified as an operator for the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). Among the 18 suspects taken into custody during the security sweep is the Director of Public Safety for Angamacutiro.
