Police in Mexico City arrested a man identified as "El Edy", described as an alleged member of the Unión de Tepito criminal group. The arrest took place on Friday, August 7, in the La Merced Zona Centro neighborhood within the Venustiano Carranza borough.

Authorities apprehended the suspect in possession of more than 200 doses of apparent drugs and 15 live cartridges. The operation was carried out by officers from the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) of Mexico City.
