Detroit could regain Black voice in Congress with Thanedar's tumble in 13th District race

Voters in Detroit's 13th Congressional District are participating in an election race where incumbent Representative Shri Thanedar is facing a potential tumble, which could allow the majority-Black city to regain a Black representative in Congress.

Outside Henry Ford High School on the city's northwest side on Tuesday afternoon, voter Michael Fuqua struggled to recall the name of his choice for Congress shortly after casting his ballot, initially offering the name "Dillinger. I think it was Daniel."
