“Diesel llegó a S/24 por galón”: Continúan los bloqueos y paros de transporte en Ucayali, Arequipa y Tacna

Since Monday, August 10, a transport strike and series of road blockades have affected multiple regions in Peru, including Ucayali, Arequipa, and Tacna. The industrial action was launched by transport workers in response to a significant surge in fuel prices, specifically the cost of diesel reaching S/24 per gallon.

The protests have expanded across different parts of the country, resulting in the paralyses of urban transport services and the obstruction of major roadways as demonstrators demand relief from the rising costs.
