Ten communities have active heat and hail storm warnings as the low-pressure system persists in the southwest

Ten autonomous communities in Spain are under weather alerts this Monday due to a combination of extreme heat and storms accompanied by hail. These conditions are being driven by a DANA (isolated depression at high levels) that persists over the southwestern part of the Iberian Peninsula.

In addition to the heat and hail, the meteorological event is expected to bring strong wind gusts. The regions of Extremadura and Castile are noted as being particularly affected by these atmospheric disturbances.
