On the night of Monday, October 19, a fire broke out on a Line 5 Metrobús unit while it was traveling along its designated lane at the Escuadrón 201 station. The vehicle initially began emitting smoke before the incident escalated into a localized fire.

Passengers aboard the bus successfully managed to escape the vehicle unharmed prior to the situation worsening. Footage capturing the moment of the fire has since been publicly circulated.
