Members of Parliament accumulate streaks of absences without any control

During the legislative session that concluded on July 26, members of the Chamber of Deputies in the Dominican Republic accumulated numerous absences from sessions without institutional control. In several instances, these absences formed long streaks of consecutive missed meetings that were officially registered as excused, despite existing regulations governing the congressional body.
