Diputados mexicanos evalúan subir impuesto a cerveza para recaudar 382 millones de dólares

Mexican deputies evaluated a proposal on Wednesday to increase the Special Tax on Production and Services (IEPS) applied to beer. The adjustment would range between sixty cents and one Mexican peso, equivalent to approximately 0.04 to 0.06 US dollars per unit.

The proposed tax adjustment is projected to generate 382 million dollars in revenue. The legislative evaluation took place in Mexico City.
