They will distribute 10.3 million food rations in schools

The National Union of School Food Suppliers (Unsae) and the National Institute of Student Welfare (Inabie) have announced a joint plan to distribute 10.3 million food rations in schools. The rollout is scheduled for the 2026-2027 academic cycle.

Under the terms of the announcement, each individual school lunch will carry a unit cost of RD$93.73. The initiative aims to coordinate institutional efforts between food suppliers and state welfare administrators to manage student nutrition during the specified school year.
