Newz25, or 9/25, has been set aside as a time to celebrate country legend Dolly Parton and her well-known generosity. Parton’s adopted hometown of Nashville, not far from her birthplace in Sevier County, is celebrating with a variety of offers, events, activities and even fireworks. According to the tourism site Visit Music City, Nashville will celebrate Dolly Day to honor Dolly Parton’s “legacy of kindness, generosity and music.” Participating venues are set to play Dolly’s iconic song “9 to 5” simultaneously at 5 p.m.
