The Dominican Republic achieved a golden double in 3x3 basketball at the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games. The tournament took place at the Malecón Deportivo on 30 de Mayo Highway.

This victory represents a notable performance improvement for the country. Four years prior at the games in El Salvador, the Dominican Republic's teams had earned bronze medals in both the men's and women's divisions.
