DR Congo rolls out Ebola vaccine for health workers as death toll rises

The Democratic Republic of Congo has initiated an Ebola vaccination campaign targeting frontline health workers as the national death toll continues to rise. The public health initiative aims to immunize 50,000 workers against a specific strain of the virus.

As part of the rollout, 20,000 of the participating healthcare personnel are being enrolled in a one-year clinical trial to evaluate the vaccine's efficacy and safety during an active outbreak.
