Dr Mwinyi calls for stronger ties between Tanzania Mainland and the Isles

Zanzibar President and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi, has called for stronger ties and improved communication between the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania and the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar.

In a separate diplomatic development involving Tanzania, the newly appointed Tanzanian High Commissioner to Uganda, Major General Marco Elisha Gaguti, officially presented his credentials from Tanzanian President Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan to Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in Kampala.

The presentation of credentials marks the official beginning of Major General Gaguti's tenure as the country's diplomatic envoy to Uganda, reinforcing regional representation alongside domestic efforts to foster closer cooperation between Tanzania Mainland and the Isles.
