A helicopter crashed southwest of U.S. 27 and Pembroke Road in Pembroke Pines on Saturday morning, police confirmed.Authorities said two individuals were on board, and no injuries have been reported at this time. Both individuals are “ambulatory,” according to fire rescue officials.They said Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue crews responded to the scene.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office is investigating an apparent hit-and-run that they say left a man with life-threatening injuries Friday night in Deerfield Beach.At approximately 8:26 p.m., Broward dispatchers received a report of a hit-and-run near Southwest First Terrace and Third Court, according to investigators. Authorities said deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue crews responded to the scene and found a man suffering from injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle.They said paramedics transported the man to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.According to investigators, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene without rendering aid.
