Over 6,000 security service applicants tested positive for cocaine, heroin, meth and other drugs – NACOC

The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has revealed that over 6,000 applicants failed mandatory drug screenings during this year’s recruitment process for Ghana’s security services. The individuals tested positive for five major illicit substances, including cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine.

In a separate enforcement action, authorities in Roscommon, Ireland, arrested a driver who tested positive for four different drugs, including cocaine, cannabis, methamphetamines, and benzodiazepines. The driver was operating an Audi A4 without a valid license or insurance, resulting in the seizure of the vehicle.
