Doubling GDP will require an increase in energy generation

Economist Henri Hebrard has stated that achieving the goal of doubling the gross domestic product (PIB) of the Dominican Republic will require a significant increase in the country's energy generation. To meet this economic objective, authorities and the energy sector must anticipate and prepare for a projected 47.6 percent growth in energy demand between the years 2025 and 2036.
