E. Coli warning after Worcester sewer overflow sends 15,000 gallons onto city streets

The City of Worcester issued a warning for potentially elevated bacteria levels in the water Friday after a sewer overflowed.At about 5:20 a.m., an overflow event near the Southwest Cutoff on Route 20 caused 15,000 gallons of wastewater to flow from a pipe onto city streets, according to a statement from city officials.
