E20 petrol may harm BS-III vehicle rubber parts, says Nitin Gadkari

Road transport minister Nitin Gadkari informed Rajya Sabha about E20 fuel impacts. Studies found no major performance impact on overall vehicle operations. BS-VI vehicles continue meeting emission norms when tested with E20 fuel.

Legacy vehicles did not exhibit significant performance variations or abnormal wear. However, some BS-III vehicles may require rubber part replacements.
