NewzAuthorities were observed investigating the scene of a crash on Monday in Miami-Dade County.It was located along Northwest Second Avenue, entering the Golden Glades Interchange.Video from Sky 10 shows a vehicle stopped on the wrong side of the road, facing traffic, and then several minutes later, that same camera caught officers leading a man away from the scene in handcuffs and placing him in a police cruiser. Officials with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue told Local 10 that they responded to a traffic accident that involved several vehicles but did not provide any information beyond that. Early and mail-in ballots are already being tabulated ahead of Tuesday’s primary election. “The equipment is running great, we haven’t had complaints this time around,” he said. But the turnout so far in Broward County has been low, according to Scott.
“Turnout for this election has been very slow, surprisingly slow,” he said. “With some of the really active contests that were happening that were pretty high profile, I’m surprised that more people didn’t turn out.”Although Florida has a closed primary, meaning you can only vote for candidates of your own party, in Broward County there are still nonpartisan races that all voters can cast ballots for, as well as those with no party affiliation, like seats on the Broward County School Board. And as always, while it’s important to check your sample ballot because districts have been redrawn, Scott said your voting precinct should stay the same.“Your voting location on Election Day is going to be exactly the same as it was before this,” said Scott.
