Ecuador adds oil well that adds 1,543 barrels per day to national production

State-owned company Petroecuador has integrated a new oil well into the Drago field located in the Ecuadorian Amazon, adding 1,543 barrels per day to the country's national production. The announcement, reported on September 17, includes a correction noting a 117 percent increase in the volume of added barrels.

The expansion is expected to generate approximately four million dollars, boosting the South American nation's hydrocarbon output. The development highlights ongoing efforts by Ecuador to maximize extraction within its established Amazonian oil fields.
