Ecuador and Panama seek to strengthen cooperation on security, trade and migration at presidential summit

On Friday, September 4, Panamanian President José Raúl Mulino traveled to Ecuador for a presidential meeting with Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa. The one-day visit took place in Guayaquil, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations.

The discussions centered on regional security, commerce, investments, migration, and energy cooperation. Specifically, the two leaders evaluated the potential for an exchange of workers, energy cooperation, and laying the groundwork to advance toward a bilateral trade agreement.
