ED: TMC paid little-known company Rs 160 crore to buy a jet & helicopter

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has revealed that the Trinamool Congress (TMC) allegedly paid approximately Rs 160 crore to a little-known company for the purchase of an aircraft and a helicopter. According to the findings, the party also paid an additional Rs 187 crore as rent for these aviation assets.

Investigators noted that despite the substantial rental payments, the TMC did not utilize the minimum guaranteed hours required under the arrangement. Instead, the party reportedly chartered other aircraft, incurring an extra cost of Rs 149 crore.
