Edmonton-born father back in Canada after 9 months in U.S. immigration detention

An Edmonton-born man who spent most of his life in the United States has returned to Canada following nine months in U.S. immigration detention. His return comes after he lost a legal battle to remain south of the border with his family.

The man stated that he was removed due to a mistake he made 22 years prior when he was a 17-year-old high school student. As a result of his deportation, his two young American children are left without their father.
