Education in the Dominican Republic and its learning outcomes

The Dominican Republic has successfully increased student enrollment and retention rates across various educational cycles. Despite these gains in school attendance, the country has not experienced a corresponding improvement in student learning outcomes.

Data indicates a significant performance gap in core subjects, most notably in mathematics. Current assessments reveal that only 2% of students are achieving the expected proficiency levels in this field.
