Noboa announces the deportation from the US of José Serrano, former Ecuadorian minister accused of murdering a politician

Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa announced on August 29 that former government minister José Serrano has been handed over to Ecuadorian authorities by the United States. Serrano, who served under the Correa administration, is currently under investigation for his alleged involvement in the 2023 assassination of presidential candidate Fernando Villavicencio.
