The US revokes the visa of Brazil's ambassador in Washington

On Tuesday, the United States Government revoked the diplomatic visa of Brazil's ambassador to Washington, Maria Luiza Viotti (also referred to as Maria Luiza Ribeiro Viotti).

The action was taken as a measure of reciprocity following delays by the Brazilian Government in granting formal approval, or beneplácito, to the U.S. ambassador designated for Brasilia.
