Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty held a telephone conversation on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, with US Special Envoy for the Middle Eas Steve Witkoff to discuss regional developments and efforts to reduce tensions. The two ministers exchanged views on the rapidly changing situation in the region, stressing the need to reduce tensions, halt military operations and pursue political and diplomatic solutions to regional crises.
