Egypt’s Sisi seeks emergency parliament session to authorize any action requested by Saudi Arabia

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has called for an emergency session of parliament to seek official authorization for any actions requested by Saudi Arabia. The move positions the Egyptian legislature to approve potential government support or interventions requested by the Saudi kingdom.

Alongside the announcement regarding parliamentary authorization for Saudi-related actions, President El-Sisi addressed his domestic political future. He stated that his current presidential term will conclude in 2030, emphasizing that his eventual departure from office is settled and that the Egyptian constitution will remain unchanged.
