Egypt's Sisi seeks parliamentary approval to deploy Egyptian military in support of Saudi Arabia

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is seeking parliamentary approval to deploy the Egyptian military in support of Saudi Arabia. The move comes as part of broader regional alignments and developments.

Any potential Egyptian military backing for Saudi Arabia could represent a significant escalation in the wider Iran conflict. This ongoing conflict has previously threatened global energy supplies and driven oil prices sharply upward.
