Egypt unearths Mamluk-era pilgrim’s inn belonging to lost city along historic Sinai trade route

Egyptian authorities have discovered a Mamluk-era pilgrim’s inn located at the site of Asila in the Sinai Peninsula. The structure, which dates back to the historical period of the Mamluk Sultanate, was part of a previously lost city situated along a significant trade route.
