NewzBy Chidinma Chukwu, Abuja The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has urged Nigerians to embrace peace, patience, compassion and unity as the country continues to implement reforms aimed at strengthening the economy, improving security and expanding opportunities. Idris made the call in a statement he personally signed on Tuesday to felicitate with Muslims in Nigeria and across the world on the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud. The minister said the celebration offered an opportunity for Muslims and Nigerians generally to reflect on the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), particularly his messages of peace, compassion, patience, justice, humility and respect for others.
He said the values were particularly important as Nigeria navigated a period of reform and renewal under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Idris said the Federal Government remained committed to building a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria through reforms focused on strengthening the economy, improving security, investing in infrastructure and expanding opportunities in education, skills development and enterprise. According to him, the progress being made requires patience, sacrifice and a shared commitment from all Nigerians.
