Nearly half of the world's migratory bird species are in decline, according to BirdLife International.

The global federation BirdLife International released its 'State of the World’s Birds' report during a summit in Nairobi on September 11. The findings indicate that 45% of the world's migratory bird species are currently in decline, with one in nine species facing the threat of extinction.
