El 72 % de los depósitos del sector privado no financiero en Uruguay son en dólares

According to data reported from Montevideo on October 5, 72 percent of non-financial private sector deposits in Uruguay are held in U.S. dollars.

While this figure represents a decrease compared to levels seen at the beginning of the 2000s, it maintains Uruguay's position as having one of the highest levels of deposit dollarization in the region.
