The legal proceedings regarding the September 2019 death of 19-year-old Ana Buza have progressed with conflicting accounts from the defense and the prosecution. Buza died while traveling with her then-partner along a section of the A-4 highway passing through Carmona.

During the proceedings, the accused stated that he was attempting to save the victim rather than run her over. Conversely, the prosecutor has maintained that the account of the incident involving the alleged vehicular collision is legally and factually untenable.
