The General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) rejects Bolaños' appeal and upholds the dismissal of his complaint against Peinado for the treatment he received during the 'Begoña case' interrogation.

The Permanent Commission of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) in Spain has rejected an appeal filed by Minister of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Cortes, Félix Bolaños. The appeal sought to challenge the previous dismissal of a complaint against Judge Juan Carlos Peinado regarding his conduct during the interrogation of Begoña Gómez, the wife of the Prime Minister, in the ongoing 'Begoña case'.

In addition to confirming the rejection of the minister's appeal, the CGPJ also upheld the dismissal of three other complaints lodged against Judge Peinado concerning his handling of the investigation. The decision to archive the complaints was based on a lack of judicial competence and a finding that the judge's actions did not result in legal 'indefensio' (defenselessness) for the parties involved.
