Declassification of Ceuta reports | The PP blames Sánchez and Marlaska for the migrant “invasion”: “We are facing the most serious episode in our democracy”

Following the declassification of official documents regarding the crisis in Ceuta, the Partido Popular (PP) has strongly blamed Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez and Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska for the mass entry of migrants, labeling the event as the most serious episode in Spanish democracy and holding them directly responsible for the situation.

In response to the political fallout, the Ministry of Defense has formally denied allegations that the United States CIA warned Spain about the impending crisis, criticizing the use of what it terms falsehoods to undermine the professionalism of the National Intelligence Center (CNI). Meanwhile, newly revealed documents show that the CNI issued an early warning via WhatsApp to the Government Delegation in Ceuta and transmitted an alert to Moroccan intelligence on July 29, warning of potential coordinated assaults across the fence and sea ahead of the Fiesta del Trono.
