The Spanish Council of Ministers is expected to approve a new royal decree-law this Tuesday aimed at addressing rising energy costs. The measures include a 15% cap on gas price increases and a fixed price of 19.55 euros for butane cylinders.

In addition to these price controls, the government intends to extend existing tax discounts on hydrocarbons for fuels through the end of the year. These actions are part of a broader legislative effort to mitigate the economic impact of energy price volatility.
