On Saturday, authorities in Guatemala launched a large-scale raid at the Centro de Detención Preventiva para Hombres located in zone 18 of Guatemala City. The operation was carried out jointly by the military, the National Civil Police, and the Elite Force of the Penitentiary System.

The primary objective of the intervention was to seize unauthorized items within the facility, specifically targeting contraband such as mobile phones.
