Eastern China is on high alert as Typhoon Dolphin approaches.

Authorities in eastern China have issued a red alert, the highest level of warning, as Typhoon Dolphin approaches the coast. The storm is expected to make landfall between the provinces of Zhejiang and Fujian between Sunday afternoon and evening, following heavy rainfall in northern Taiwan.

In response to the imminent threat, officials have relocated approximately 300,000 residents from vulnerable areas. Additionally, transportation has been significantly disrupted in Shanghai, where the city's two major airports have canceled more than 1,300 flights in anticipation of the severe weather conditions.
