Former Galician drug trafficker Laureano Oubiña planned to organize a boat tour on August 29 to showcase the coastal routes he historically used to smuggle narcotics into Galicia. However, the regional government, the Xunta, has prohibited the initiative.

Oubiña sought to revisit the backdrop of his criminal career by acting as a tour guide to explain his drug-smuggling methods. The intervention by the Xunta successfully blocked the former smuggler from executing the planned touristic excursion along the Galician coast.
