The Argentine government, led by President Javier Milei, announced on Friday that the Foreign Ministry will initiate disciplinary proceedings against 45 individuals and legal entities. The sanctions are directed at those involved in the unauthorized exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons in the area of the Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas).

This administrative action targets companies and persons participating in resource extraction activities within the disputed region without Argentine authorization, marking a formal step by the current administration regarding sovereign resource management.
