'The Bad Son', Jaime Lorente's debut film, will open the 'New Directors' section of the San Sebastian Film Festival

Actor Jaime Lorente's directorial debut feature film, *El mal hijo*, has been selected to open the "New Directors" section at the 74th San Sebastián International Film Festival. The festival is scheduled to take place from September 18 to 26.

The film will launch a competitive lineup featuring a total of 14 emerging filmmakers. The directors participating in this section represent a diverse group from Europe, the Americas, and Asia, hailing from countries including Spain, Germany, Bulgaria, Noruega, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Chile, Mexico, South Korea, Iran, Japan, Kazakhstan, and Taiwan.

These debut directors will compete during the festival for the section's top honors. The San Sebastián International Film Festival serves as a prominent international platform highlighting new cinematic voices from around the globe.
