El mexicano Portillo ganó el salto alto y la cubana Pérez el triple salto en Santo Domingo

Mexican athlete Erick Portillo won the gold medal in the high jump at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo on Monday. He cleared a height of 2.24 meters to secure the victory.

Cuban competitor Pérez also won gold in the triple jump event at the same games in Santo Domingo. Portillo's win adds to his athletic credentials, following his previous silver medal win at the Athletics World Championships.
