According to the Multisectorial Committee of the National Study of the El Niño Phenomenon (ENFEN), the El Niño phenomenon could reach an extraordinary magnitude and persist until mid-autumn 2027.

As a result of this new climate scenario, the Peruvian coast is expected to experience a spring season with temperatures significantly higher than normal historical values.
