The father of the abused baby denies harming him "consciously" but does not rule out negligence

The father of a six-week-old infant investigated for abuse in Barcelona testified before a judge on Thursday regarding the child's injuries. He stated that he did not consciously harm his son and expressed doubt that the mother had done so either.

While denying intentional abuse, the father did not rule out the possibility that the injuries could be the result of negligence on the part of himself or his partner.
