Pope Leo XIV revokes salary cuts for cardinals and superiors introduced during the pandemic

Pope Leo XIV has officially revoked the salary cuts that were previously imposed on cardinals and senior officials of the Roman Curia. The measure was originally introduced in March 2021 by his predecessor, Pope Francis, through the Motu Proprio titled 'Un futuro sostenible' in response to the economic crisis and emergency generated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
