The Constitutional Court will study the Treaty of Friendship with France next week, with a report in favor of its constitutionality.

The Spanish Constitutional Court (TC) announced on Wednesday that it will examine the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between Spain and France next week. The treaty, which was previously challenged by the Spanish Senate, permits French and Spanish government ministers to attend each other's cabinet meetings.

A draft ruling prepared by magistrate Ricardo Enríquez supports the constitutionality of the bilateral agreement. According to the presented ponencia, the magistrate found no constitutional violations in the provisions allowing for the reciprocal exchange and participation of ministers between the two nations.
